I mostly use Imgur not because of image leeching concerns, given i think that's far less of a problem nowadays, but because images without dedicated hosts tend to be unreliable. Not that there's a good history with that, waffleimages and all, but still. Websites have an exponentially greater amount of bandwidth to spare now.

And you're right - the dynamic HTML code itself seems fairly bandwidth efficient, it's the static assets that are the chunky ones.

Also weird that it does send it down the pipe every time, I don't do apache or whatever it is the kids think is hip these days but it shouldn't be that hard to fix ... surely?
