If Haas do not score 150 WCC points, I will donate the US dollar amount of difference to the Something Awful Forums For example, if Haas score only 149 points, I will donate $1. If they score zero points, I will donate $150.

Gigi Galli posted:The announcers were talking about the V8 supercars being in there the day before, so it’s not totally blank. Obviously the lines are different and it supposedly rained so who knows. Missed this earlier. But there is pretty much always some form of support race going on at Albert Park. GT3's, Porsche Carrera, F4, V8SC etc. So plenty of different rubber compounds going onto the track over the course of the weekend, starting on Thursdays.

Watched P3 all the way through without a hiccup from F1TV this time, so yay for the rollercoaster of quality there. I'd like to see Kubica get a point or two this season, Gasly and LeClerc do well, and that Mercedes doesn't totally run away with the championship early on.

Ricciardo isn't looking so hot right now, although apparently there was a seat belt issue? Hope I don't regret having him as turbo driver in fantasy. Its his home race! freeranger posted:Only a bit faster today than fp2. Wouldn't read into the times still. ^^

Wirth1000 posted:It's easy to get sponsors when you charge them less than half the spot is actually worth. Make the values NDA'd for advertising so you've got something rather than nothing isn't a bad idea. Some money is better than no money and if they get higher up the grid they can charge more due to association/visibility. It's not like Ron's premium sponsor idea was working for a team that was constantly making GBS threads it's engine all over the track or otherwise rubbing elbows with the proles in the midfield. There's nothing 'premium' about that.

There's no evidence Zak has lowered their sponsorship value given that their books and the sources of their income are public and their budget is still higher than anyone but the top three. BAT is reportedly paying them 30m/year.
