I live in a suburban area, and the rabbit population seems to be kept in check pretty well. Domestic cats, bobcats, owls, and hawks all abound.

Here in the darkest corner of Tampere, Finland, the local rabbit & hare population has caused a steady rise in urban fox population. Which is good, because foxes are good.

Awww... that reminds me of our old Eskie. One of her favorite foods was French fries. She'd sit there quivering until they were gone or she got some. Usually the latter. Sadly, we had to out her down last month. We still miss her a lot.
