And lo and behold, we got some sexy Eurocanards. The Belorussians give us a decent sledgehammer on the ground in case we need it. BMP-3s and decently modernised T-72s are pretty drat respectable hardware by PMC standards. Also, gently caress the lovely old submarine.

...wait a sec. Please tell me the SU-22s get to keep the Kh-28. That'd actually turn them into SEAD/strike and give them decent utility for our roster. (Also it's one of the oldschool russian monster missiles. Slightly shorter range, but 50% faster and three times the warhead compared to a HARM.) I have faith that we'll end up with a decent fighter option, but we need a numbers fighter option too. Either the CF-5A or the Mirage F.1 would fit and I think both planes are cool, but the Mirages get Durandal anti-runway bombs and Hired Goons need to get back into the airbase destruction business. Everyone voting for the submarine, I hope you're doing so because "a second at-sea intel platform will help the Marjata triangulate ELINT" or something similar, and not "botes lol". For my vote... 1x F-16XL Rationale: It's unusual, and AIM-9Ms are the best IR missiles on the block right now. They outrange Magic and have 15% greater Pk, and the plane comes with Mavericks if need be. I'd argue that having 2 isn't as bad as it seems, simply because it "shoots twice and goes home" rather than sticks around when we don't want it to, which we've had issues with. 1x F-16DG Blk 40. Rationale: Yeah, yeah, this was probably expected. My objection to Mirage 2kC is that its so called BVR weapon only goes out 22 nm, and is SARH besides! We've had enormous difficulties getting SARH to work right, especially at that short range with no micro--it's better to go with 6 10nm missiles. 1x Kiowa Warrior Rationale: A sensor platform that complements our drones nicely, and gives a little bit of extra ground punch. We're already used to using FOBs anyway from the goddess damned Bisons.

In our disappointing-in-so-many-ways reality we never had the chance to see the F-16XL in combat, but this is our chance to live that beautiful, delta-wing dream. This is certified awesome; I've already had a number of daydreams about armed NASA test planes shooting down the enemies of freedom and science. 1 vote for the F-16XLs This sub bote is super limited and can't accomplish a ton in the game especially the way our missions work and the whole lack of much naval integration; however, all this means to me is that it will be a great opportunity for a ridiculous storyline. Do we use it to smuggle someone or something?! All while conducting high-accuracy electronic snooping?! Bote is life. 1 v(b)ote for the TR-1700 My last vote is the hardest decision for me as there are a number of high-warcrime-potential platforms from which to choose. So many iron bombs and unguided rockets to test our pilots' skill and moral mettle. Perhaps the most appealing strike plane on offer is the Su-22M which can carry the whole buffet and... look the way it does while delivering it. Alas, instead I have to select the plane that is actually maybe good enough at a thing we need to make missions doable, yet isn't crazy multi-role OP do-it-all EZ-mode. I also think it looks coolass. 1 vote for the F-2000C Mirages

Bottom line: It really comes down to the Mirage 2000s and the Vipers. The BVR missiles the Mirage 2000s have are kinda deceptive. They're very susceptible to jamming. They have such short range (22 nmi) and they have to be guided all the way to the target, so they end up in a knife-fight just after their SARH missiles hit (or more-likely, miss). They have very short-legs, so they'll be even worse tanker queens than the Gripens. IMO, Vipers are the best bet. They have more missiles, better missiles, more gas, better range, more time on CAP, a better radar, more Goon crew slots, A2G capability, the best A2G PGMs on offer (2,000lb Paveways). In a dogfight, the Vipers would eat the Mirage 2000s for lunch. For attack:
Bottom line: Su-22M Fitters are the best fit. F-16XLs are the next-most useful, but we'd WAY better off with the Fitters. Besides, swing-wings are cool. Support
