that’s a fairly stupid poll the answer is obvious for many people. I’m also tired of how many people here have this romantic view of what a united ireland would look like. We would want whatever NI costs the U.K. per year at least in annual payments for 100years before I would even consider voting for that.

Depending on how you word the question you can get anywhere from the 80% in that poll to 45% in favour of reunification. If you attach a specific cost per year (which isn't unreasonable, as NI is extremely poor relative to both GB and Eire and the Republic would need to invest deeply to provide jobs and mitigate Unionist rage) you can push down reunification support.
