I don't know if this is necessarily the right place to bring up BOC, but who in their right loving mind considers Imaginos a bad album? This poo poo completely rules, the version of Astronomy on there is goddamn gold.

BOC was my favorite band when I was 14. I haven’t listened to Imaginos in a long time but Del Rio’s Song is very good.

I don't know what the vaguebooking poo poo was and don't particularly care about the details, but could I please be reassured that I'll be seeing Crimson with a full lineup in September? Those posts have been driving me insane.

edit for content : I've been linked this album, I think it's pretty awesome https://youtu.be/fonDsCqxxT0

I love it but it's really just an Albert Bouchard solo record with vocals by the lead singer and guitarist of BOC. And all the songs are out of order which isn't good for a concept album, and there's like 3 songs that were on the demo but missing on the full album

I listened to those first two boc albums last week because of this thread and wasn’t feeling it at all. I loved them as a kid. Maybe you can’t go home.

But I listened to a song off revolution by night later and it had a pretty good groove. And that album’s bad. Maybe I have bad taste in music.

Edit: Oh wait, forgot this wasn't the electronica thread.

Anyway, I checked out Steven Wilson's solo stuff and while I resonate with the criticisms that his work is usually rehashing every old prog rock convention, I thought Grace For Drowning was an interesting experience. That album oscillates between dark (almost droning) metal bits and very bright and ethereal prog rock, which feels like more of a choice than some of the other stuff I've heard from him.

Are you kidding me? I've been waiting for ConstruKction and Power to Believe to complete my collection and they're going to finally release it in a mega expensive box set only? WTF guys?

Seriously there better be versions much like the 40th anniversary available.

There were, if I recall the explanation, problems that some of the masters were decayed. Pat had always wanted to redo the drum tracks so he did, but it took a while for him to get it done.

I personally do own the old versions. In fact The Power To Believe was the first KC album I purchased. I just wanted the set and remixes.

Looks like the individual release of Power contains the Happy EP and ReconstruKction contains Heaven and Earth, so that’s cool.

Geddy has huge respect for Tony. Paul Richards (California Guitar Trio) was at a book signing by Geddy last month and got him to sign a copy as a gift to Tony (who was playing a show nearby) and Geddy was *quite* happy to do so and expressed his admiration at length to Paul.
