Is this even a question? Liberate the Congo. It's a fool-proof plan and honestly the Iberian Red Army could use the work.

The Subjugation of the Kongo Set before us is a simple but ambitious initiative, presented by a clique of revolutionaries devoted to Supreme Leader Mizanur and his ambitions, to launch a campaign to pacify the Kongo. Ruled by the inept and autocratic Khedive, the Kongo is rich in resources and population, but it has also struggled to recover from the devastation wrought by the Great War, which means that imperialist powers are doubtlessly looking towards them with greed. Successfully pacifying the Kongo will bring numerous benefits with it, especially in the long-term, but it may be unwise to get bogged down in a distant war when there’s already a fire raging on our doorstep… Should we launch a war against the Khedivate of the Kongo? Option A — No, we’re not imperialists. Option B — Yes, it is in the interest of the people. hashashash fucked around with this message at 22:34 on Mar 27, 2019 |

Option B - Liberate the Congo. The Khedivate is a relic of military-feudalist imperialism, and our great people's army is wholly justified in liberating them from the yoke of bourgeois tyranny! Down with the colonial oppressors! Long live our great leader, Great Comrade Mizanur! Long live the great unity of the working peoples of the world!

More army experience for altering divisions as well as training both troops and generals for bonuses.

QuoProQuid posted:In game, is there any benefit to having more battlefield experience? Yes. Land xp is for making better units (adding more men or brigades cost 5 to 10 xp per slot). Navy xp is used for making better ship variants. Air xp is for making better aeroplane varinats (more range/armor/firepower on existing technological model). Also, this is before Man the guns expansion. New use (with above usage) for xp is shorter research time for doctrines or some models.

: (Pontificating to cadres while looking over the latest production numbers from the Khedivate's Exchequer) I believe it is time to right the wrongs of the bourgeoisie liberal governments of Al-Andalus, and the soi disant Socialists who followed them, and help our Congolese brothers overthrow the yoke of capitalist imperialism. : (glancing through his office window to the large, brutalist monument that is the Academy of Sciences headquarters) Also, the eggheads keep pestering me about building extraction and refining facilities for that uranite stuff that Comrade Aynshtayn from Zurich was going on and on about.

QuoProQuid posted:In game, is there any benefit to having more battlefield experience? Already answered but yeah it's quite useful. Most countries start out with sub-optimal or even outright lovely division templates and you need to spend experience to adjust them, so getting experience out of the various prelude wars (along with military exercises) is pretty important so that you can go into The Big One with divisions that are actually good. It's also useful for creating enhanced "variants" of tanks, planes, and ships but those mostly come around once The Big One is already kicked off and as the fighting is happening you realize your Tank 2's could use an extra point of armor or a slightly better gun but you can't produce Tank 3's yet.

B of course. No one could have doubted the outcome of this one, which leads me to think that this has to be a poisoned choice somehow (the obvious is raising war tension and getting into trouble, but there might be other stuff as well, specifally scripted stuff).
