Sorry guys I was being rhetorical.

I think the infrastructure plus spice makes sense but especially the spice. It makes perfect sense to charge a high cost if you are running on the stuff. It's like how fuel surcharges vastly inflate airline tickets.

It's not that crazy considering people basically do this in real life, often without any special training.

Ah but Lady Fenring is BG so she had background.

Remember the War of Assassins is the only legal form of conflict, so all of the Great Houses are gonna be good at Tradecraft. Especially the Atreides with their long running feud with the Harkonnen.

I'd guess you are correct. I bet @DuneAuthor has, he wouldn't resist. He would also introduce credit chips and other star trek type poo poo.

How did Yueh score himself a BG wife? I guess if you're not snagged into a millennia long breeding programme early on you're a free agent?

It's more like "why did the BG want to marry themselves to Yueh"?

I think it's pretty simple. The Guild and the Fremen have more complex currency (always centered around purchasing spice or selling spice, respectively) and so for the rest of the galaxy you just have a standard galactic "dollar": the solari.

Yeah and even if he doesn't, there are a lot of Bene gesserits and traits like "was able to succeed in a prestigious medical training school" are probably desirable in some degree to the breeding program without being important on the same level as securing feyd's jizz

I think it’s between the jailed Mohaim and Jessica. They definitely recreate that in the miniseries.

He seems a bit young looking against the rest of the cast, thought makeup and sfx could fix that.

"Muad’Dib claimed the spice as a key to his prophetic powers. Guild navigators make similar claims. Its price on the Imperial market has ranged as high as 620,000 Solaris the decagram."

A decagram is 10 grams, so 1 gram of spice is 62,000 solaris (so you were only wrong by 10,000% :haw:.

I'm sad Jared Harris with giant fake eyebrows won't play Thufir.

Actually just make a Dune movie where every role is Jared Harris except for Gurney, who is just Patrick Stewart again.

Patrick is a very talented and experienced classically trained actor, but I still think he was too handsome to be Gurney man.
