RIP Nipsey. I am not as familiar with his work as I should be but had definitely heard about what he was doing for his community and its loving depressing that he was taken away. I went to a music festival this last weekend that is put on by a group of my friends in San Diego. This year the big acts were Tuxedo (Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One) and Peanut Butter Wolf (Stones Throw Records founder) doing a DJ set. My friend hooked it up with backstage passes and I was able to meet PBW and talk to him for a little bit. Was a really chill guy and pretty humble about everything he has done at Stones Throw. He also played an absolutely incredible set. It was a good weekend.
