'Offer a free trade agreement' he says, as if we could even figure out what free trade agreement we want to loving offer by next loving week, let alone get the EU to agree to it. E: 1 April 1924: Adolf Hitler is sentenced to 5 years in prison for participating in the Beer Hall Putsch. He would serve only 8 months and not get shivved unfortunately.

Any other Labour Party members received a call asking if you want to stand as an MEP? How on earth do they select for that? Edit: maybe they took note when I answered "I'm a really good shot with a rifle" to "how could you help the Labour Party more?"

I thought the tories were struggling to find local candidates but if Labour is trying to recruit goons to Euro parliament then obviously the problem is more widespread than I thought!

I wouldn't want to do it if I wasn't going to do it properly. Plus there's a good chance I'd have to interact with Nigel Farage without punching him and I don't think I could do that.

Be the change you want to see in the world, goons. Even standing as a paper candidate gives other like minded voters in your area someone to vote for and involves little to zero effort in terms of campaigning (and the benefit over standing as an independent is the party puts up your deposit)
