Well I got the jumpgate dock and it seems cool except it doesn't do the main thing I want which is let me hook up to dock without taking off my satisfye grip. Dock is too wide for that. If I were to get a small extension cable (usb-c to usb-c), would that remove the "guaranteed correct spec won't fry switch" aspect of it or is all that worry in the dock itself?

So since the joycons have to be in the Switch for the base VR thing for BOTW and Mario, can we just use a secondary controller or something?

Someone will create a strap for the viewfinder, but it's not a headset nor is the software designed to be used like one; i doubt Nintendo let's it search for a different control type. It's for handheld only, so start working on that arm strength now. I'm already planning out how I'm gonna make my satisfye work, looks fairly easy to modify if you've used any Google cardboard.

If I were getting a Labo VR set I'd be more excited about the included software and mini games than either of the BOTW/SMO implementations. It's just mapping the right stick (camera) to gyro controls and giving you a stereoscopic image. It's not really VR.

I swear I saw a Nyko or other brand VR headset made for Switch already before.

It wouldn't have to map them as 1 controller though. Make it a "2 player" mode player 1 controls the camera (the handheld) and player 2 is everything else. It's an easy work around.

Can you trick the video to play on PSVR and have it display properly? I know you can do some trickery to get it working with a computer.

I refuse to play VR Labo unless there’s an option to make all the colors red and black, like God intended for VR.

If you don't want any of the cool Labo VR games then just wait until some reddit guy makes a VR headset for the Switch and sells it for $5. Please don't spend $40 on some cardboard and plastic orbs in order to play BOTW with motion camera controls.

American McGay posted:Double, but a PS4VR won't do poo poo without a PS4. There's multiple ways to get it working with PC, though it does require a 3rd party driver. Which means getting that running with the switch would require a PC with HDMI pass through and the 3rd party driver. This would probably add a decent bit of latency and not be worth it, but it's possible. You are just using 3 devices at the same time to play a game which is really going to be awkward. You'll still have all the same limitations as a labo kit too.
