Funny thing is that political pundits speculate ASYL is taking votes away from TF. Allegedly it was Junes who uncovered the pedophile network, but TF considers him too much of a wild card to have him in their ranks.

I don't think TF are ever going to get the same numbers like in the previous election. Not even angry pensioners who feel hosed over by the parties will ever get them to the same level, since people have seen them in government and some have drawn their conclusions, even if Halla-aho and his nuiva wing took over the party completely. (Which is something Halla-aho himself has to think about, which is the risk of the angry ethno-nationalist wing in his party taking over.) Of course there are you usual ignoramuses among the sleeping voters who will bite, but even that is a finite resource. Having said all that, I risk myself proven wrong by underestimating the power of stupidity, but I'm not that bleak.

Interesting that in this svenska.yle.fi article about the parties political positions, Keskusta comes to the left of SDP based on the answers of the candidates. Apparently this is due do the keskusta candidates answering quite negatively to questions on health care privatization. I find that a bit rich considering they tried to push through a reform tha would introduce more privatization. Guess it just goes to show when you want to get elected you run on left wing ideas, then practice right wing ones.
