The President has to pay for his meals from the White House kitchen so Trump is actually being fiscally responsible by sending for take out.

Can't find anything to back that up, though, but a factory farm full of livestock seems more likely to provide enough poo poo for that level of contamination than a few dozen farm workers.

Using minorities as to cover up the damage caused by the callousness of the capital class is a time honoured tradition and will always get more play in the media.

There’s a Frontline episode from a few years ago, either “Trouble With Antibiotics” or “Trouble with Bacteria” where they investigate a pig farm near a small town that was discovered to have an unusually high level of cases of deadly bacteria. Turned out it wasn’t so much direct exposure, but a combination of antibiotic-fed chicken over time increasing bacterial resistance to broad-spectrum antibiotics and the massive outdoor waste water pits being naturally part of the rain cycle. It was basically raining pig poo poo on the town.

The article doesn't say. I know that South Korea is going through a major "metoo" type moment right now so maybe they are just tired of anything demeaning to female asians. Just a few weeks ago a kpop star was accused of running a brothel.

I wouldn't go too overboard on that; severe autism is very much a disease, and being able to cure the people who require 24/7 support and supervision and are unable to learn how to speak would be amazing.

Is there a good breakdown of the issues with Autism Speaks? I hear a lot about them being lovely for treating autism as a problem instead of a “different state of mind”, but I don’t necessarily disagree? I know autistic people who are able to function well, but also autistic people who run the gamut from “permanently 10 years old” to “unable to live without hospice care”.
