Thanks! I can’t wait for it to stop storming so I can go take it into the mountains. It’s got Subaru’s symmetrical AWD with off-road modes that modify the torque vectoring and can disable traction control so that all four wheels will spin to get through deeper crud. It’s definitely not a 4Runner or a Wrangler but it’ll supposedly do fine off pavement. Also, the backs of the rear seats are rubber and lay flat, which means I can throw my whole bike and a dirty backpack back there. I’ve been wanting to do more solo backpacking and camping lately, and this will let me camp not far from a vehicle if conditions aren’t forecasted to be great.  Not as much a purchase but got my Arc'teryx Atom LT back after sending it to them when my zipper broke. Their customer service is pretty drat good. I did get this with it as well:  A cool window decal to put on my car. Also got these patches:   Designed by one of my artist friends.

Finally started upgrading my chargers and accessories to USB-C, this car charger shows 'charging rapidly' on my phone the instant I plug it in. After a recent trip to Big Bend with only gas station chargers and A-to-C cables it was painfully obvious I needed something better. Also scooped a USB-C power bank from them though that's its input only, old 10,000 mAh only charges halfway at this point. Additionally, all the cables: USB-C to lightning, USB-C to micro USB3 for external HD, USB-C to HDMI, C-to-C because finding a replacement locally means spending $30 on the drat thing. Also, bought Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice 'cuz it looks so drat good, and it is! Absolutely amazing, runs beautifully at 1080 on my aging i5 4000 series and AMD 7870. I've been itching to upgrade as it's now five years old save the video card (which is even older) but with games running well I'm barely incentivized to do so. Finally I got a manual meat grinder for $20 at the local restaurant supply and I must say, as inconvenient as it is to clean and use, home ground meat for hamburgers is really the way to go. Doing a short rib/sirloin mix this weekend with homemade pickles and brioche buns. Behold!

We specifically wanted a manual XT so we had to have the 04-08 date range, which actually works out nicely because instead of an SUV it’s more like a tall wagon. Can't you get a wagon and/or hatchback version of the legacy that's a little closer to the wrx? I'm also glad I have a mid 2000's version of the outback so it is still wagon shaped and not the bulky crossover it turned into this decade. It's not important at all but I love that the windows don't have any border so the pillars stay smaller, which they got rid of on the newer ones

 Kindle Fire HD 10 I've had a Kindle Fire for a few years. I think it's a 5th gen, and maybe not even the HD one. It's pretty slow and I've been putting off reading a bunch of books for a while now. I got this because I have an Amazon Store Card and it qualifies for 6 month financing, plus I got a credit for trading in my current one and the trade in came with a 25% off any Kindle offer, so I saved like $50 on this thing which is rad. I need to look up how to put the Google Play Store on this one. I know there's a way to do that, but I never did with my current Kindle for whatever reason. On my current Kindle, I've been using this 3rd party YouTube app that's not great and I'd love to just be able to use the official one. Idk why but Amazon doesn't have an official YouTube app for Kindles, so I have to get it elsewhere.
