They're only wrong on a technicality, similar to how Russia's annexation of Crimea and later proxy invasion of Ukraine as a whole are technically different conflicts on paper, but part of the same broader campaign of territorial aggression on the part of one belligerent party.

But on another technicality, Zhang Chongren did live through WW2 and the accuracy of the statement has very little to do with the actual timing of the war. That he also had a valid reason for anti-Japanese sentiment from their invasions and abuses of China prior to WW2 is, technically, a separate matter as to whether he also had a reason to maintain that antipathy after.

And funnily enough part of the reason EVS is so slow is all that unnecessary detail he puts on his stuff. It adds nothing to it. You can tell he came up in the 90's.

It's also not even interesting detail like, say, Geof Darrow, Frank Quitely, or James Stokoe create.

Yet where is that woman now? Tell me, in what heave does she reside? None of them. Because no God bothered to listen or care. If that is what you think it means to be a God, then you and all your teachings are welcome to do as that poor women did. And vanish from these realms forever.

Kirby did this is a cave...with scraps!

What I mean is, Kirby put this much detail and coloring work into the book in a small office while doing 15 other books without any digital assitance.

EVS can't do 1 book with way more budget, time, and digital tools.

I don't think he was ever actually doing 15 books but yeah, by then he was in his early 60s and slowing down. He was only doing three monthly books (Captain America, Eternals, 2001) at the time that spread was produced.

No they did go see it and theaters colluded with Disney and processed the ticket sales as Captain Marvel tickets.

The movie isn’t better than the manga. Honestly it isn’t even a very good movie. It’s not like bad but it runs into the problem most adaptations do

Probably not. But no one knew what the manga was either and it's been around for decades. It's also hundreds of issues long and went for a long, long time. Condensing and cutting stuff is how adaptation works, and doing a strict 1:1 translation of the source would not have worked at all as a movie.

It’s a fun movie but it’s extremely flawed and doesn’t really do the source material justice.

Granted I’m not sure how it could. It’s to nitche for like a trilogy so they did the best they could with what they had
