My friend’s dog, a very sweet yellow Lab named Isis, has developed some health problems (glaucoma) that require the removal of her left eye. Thanks for the suggestion, Stravag. Isis wasn’t a rescue and she lives in a rural community in NorCal, so her owner may be locked into what’s available locally. I will pass along your suggestion though- maybe it’s an avenue she hasn’t explored. Also, have a Lando, fresh off his midday walk and ready for me to go back to work so he can really lock in that crucial mid-afternoon nap.

He's so beautiful and wonderful and I don't play with him enough/walk him enough/love him enough - thank you, anxiety brain. I have to keep reminding myself that I do my best by him - and I do what I'm capable of, and he forgives the rest. Provided I keep him in treats, of course. I don't have a picture of it, but this morning he woke my up by lying over my stomach and I sat up and wound up with an upside-down lapful of dog that immediately got bellyrubs for almost five minutes before we both decided to get up and go out.
