He's not amazing or anything but he grows over the course of the game and has his flaws pointed out by other characters and he takes them pointing it out seriously, he isn't really pushy or overbearing like some male JRPG protags are, either in terms of his actual personality or in terms of the weight the narrative gives him, other characters are allowed to make decisions on their own independent of him and aren't really punished for it. So Rex is like, fine.

when you beat super mario 3d land on an emulator because of an emulation bug you can never load your save data again without a workaround that i can't get to work. so now i'm going to permanently associate super mario 3d land in my mind with nier

I'm thinking of watching Revue Starlight because the mobile game is being released at the end of the month but I remember hearing that the official subs were bad back when it was airing. Is there a consensus on which fansubs ended up being the best ones to watch it with?
