Chowles explained that included tracing a loan from payday loan company Wonga in Whites name, which was then sent to cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox, which then transferred bitcoin funds to the StExo account on Silk Road and paid for some items on the site. nice business plan

did I read the article wrong or did he, err, generate some pictures too? well, considering he wanted to set up a CAI paysite, doesn't really matter, does it now and he pretty much got owned by KYC/AML alike laws, always nice to see these work

yeah, blake benthal, he was involved but only dipped his toes in, and pulled in a fed literally as his first hire, he did just about nothing and that's why he got like 6 months public service while frosty rossy got life twice and this new guy apparently got at least five years

yes, the "possession" and "making" offences come from two different laws but "making by saving" is supposed to be treated the same as possession for sentencing purposes if there isn't anything else going on (like actual production or distribution)

well, all highly technical and all, but i think he'll have enough on his plate already, if he was planning to make a paysite

this guy founded Silk Road 2 but transferred ownership to Blake 2-3 months in - we know this for sure because one of the mods already on the staff at that point was FBI and had chatlogs lol Blake got arrested like 9 months later, and apparently they got this guy around the same time but the trial took forever and wasnt resolved til recently

I'm willing to hope they're not dumb enough to not encrypt the whole database itself. Yeah, thats how I read it as well. Theyre logging what sites are making the requests (which would piss me off as well). I would think if you were pushing secure your passwords, the helper app would only pull directly from the local vault secured by your master key. If its a cloud based solution (like 1password), theres really no need for the provider to do anything other than facilitate the transport and syncing of the vault to the local copy. The cloud vault is used for replication between different client apps (reconciliation should be handled by the client side apps). This is probably naive of me.

lastpass had the ability to unlock your vaults without your key circa 2014 doesn't really matter how many issues are highlighted though it'll still stick around
