Even if he does, Spurs won't have Winks to man mark, so either he takes Dele away from Fernandinho or he tries to play the shell of Wanyama. Spurs are out of bodies at this point

Ajax’s run to the semi is phenomenal given the teams they’ve had to play, reigning German, Italian, CL champions, and that they started so early.

Definitely should be a closed group for ‘top’ leagues though.

This is one of the best Ajax teams I’ve seen since the 90’s. Also wildly entertaining.

It's exactly this. The movement in this Ajax team is so fluid and well timed it's unreal. They made Juve look so slow at times tonight.

I wasn't able to watch today's match, but yeah he really isn't all that good.

Honestly wonder if keeping Benatia could've been a difference maker. He was a bit mental but at least he could physically defend, and was excellent in the air. Bonucci and Rugani are too similar with their lack of strength and are easily beaten in one v one situations.

Benatia was a bit thick but he was definitely better than Rugani. Rugani is just a bad Bonucci!!

Fingers crossed for Tottenham tomorrow. Would love to see Ajax or Tottenham in the final. Preferably Tottenham if Liverpool makes the final, because I don't think even VVD can keep Ajax from scoring.

It's criminal that Ashley Young is still a) captain, b) a starter, c) playing for Manchester United.

Otherwise yesterday pretty much showed the gulf between European elite and United. A lot of work needed, and it won't happen overnight, so hopefully the club will have the patience for a proper rebuild.

Forced to agree, he's a spent force. Squandered loads of chances last week, at fault for two of last night's goals and offered nothing down the left from an attacking perspective. There's rumours the squad is completely gassed and nowhere near fit enough for the style of football Ole wants to play and they're looking at the facilities and current procedures in the off season. I recall Mourinho complaining about fitness as well which at the time was dismissed as Jose being Jose. The management of the football side of things off the pitch has been poo poo for a while by all accounts. Phelan has commented that the scouting side of things is a shambles, a number of journos have commented that Old Trafford is looking neglected and dilapidated (and I agree there).
