really depends on the game. wow uses centralized servers so all network activity passes through a node blizzard controls. console games wouldn't necessarily do that, in my experience voice data is sent over a p2p channel and there is no chat server involved. although recording and passing it on it can't be fully ruled out because they make frequent encrypted connections to platform metaservers

In case you're using seemingly any of the ad-blockers but uBlock Origin (why would you?), you probably want to switch.

I tried uMatrix for a while, which essentially is a super-aggressive uBlock Origin, and you can manually whitelist all the loving domains you need for things to work while blocking the rest. It's kind of scary how many domains, subdomains, and various JS providers are needed for a single web page to display right sometimes.

Our current customer, who insisted on having gitlab servers in house, is fully reliant on WiPro for its server infra. I guess this is the second shoe I was waiting for

The best part is WiPros issues seem largely self-inflicted: Lack of security governance, lack of password controls, and poor internal security auditing. Apparently they also had usernames/passwords for admin users posted on Github, much like Deloitte.

Shaggar posted:yeah. the reality is the user will never see it, but iirc quarantined messages like that can be released to the recipient where rejected messages are gone. From a few pages ago, but no it's not. The whole point of DMARC is that p=reject should be followed, with no grey areas. Some places give users access to their quarantines, and then they go in there and see the spoofed email and get all concerned that they have to DO SOMETHING to let the sender know they've been hacked. And if they've whitelisted the domain (because that seemed like a good thing back in the day) the spoofed email can go straight to their mailbox. Thanks, MS!

why would you use a stolen car for doing crimes, wouldn't you get immediately flagged whenever anyone ran the plates? or are they just trying to do crimes before the cars are reported stolen?
