In an unexpected turn of events, the new Spring clothing items are actually free. After deciding that poses need to be 500g each, I was expecting far worse. It's nice to have bottoms that aren't miniskirts, minishorts, or spray-on pants  .

Research reward catches at least stay there forever until you do catch it, but I've had wild shinies run on me before on community days.

I'm gonna bitch a little bit about Ingress because there's not really a more appropriate thread for it. I'm the only green player in an area swarming with high-level blues. On the one hand, it's awesome for glyph hacking clusters of portals, since that's 400+ XP and lots of high-level items per hack. On the other hand, they get incredibly pissy/defensive when you start attacking their fields for that sweet XP bonus. They also rebuild everything within an hour or two of taking it down. I'm almost convinced they play the game full-time with multiple accounts, or they're spoofing. Or both! For now, I'm probably going to stick to targeting weak corners of enemy fields to take out links on stronger portals. It's not worth trying to dump high level attacking items on maxed-out portals with 10+ links coming off them when they're going to be instantly recharged. BGrifter posted:Mudkip will own too. I’d much rather get a strong Fire attack just because Machamps are so common and I already have several maxed out. But either way it’s a Community Day more for love than stats. Blaze Kick and Muddy Water got added to the move lists a couple months back. Seems like a pretty good bet considering the other options that can ever learn Blaze Kick are Hitmonlee and Riolu.

Heck yeah, torchic community day. I sadly have to work that day but even then I should be able to get enough for a blaziken or two. And if nothing else, getting a bunch of lil' chicken nuggets is the most important part. Also man, seems like the time for Giratina is already over where I live. Thanks to work I hadn't had much chance to catch it when it was fresh and now apparently everyone in the local group has enough. Was kinda sad going out for 5ers the other day and hearing that they won't even bother for any Giratina's.  I did have at least a funny moment where I just barely managed to beat a Latios raid with only someone who had two other accounts of help, and just as we finish with 18 seconds left there is a message in the local group that for that raid you need 5 accounts minimum (Though that was only with it knowing solar beam and the psychic fast attack, the next one we tried with 3 had dragon attacks which we sadly could not get)It feels weird actually feeling like I can meaningfully contribute to a legendary raid now.

I caught a shiny Mareep first day of event, and shiny Buneary the second. Also caught an okay Ampharos. Probably about the same time I was catching the latter two, on my way to work and then to the vet's office, my cat died. So I might keep that Ampharos just for that. My first ever Dragonite I named after her. If nothing else this egg event might help because I need to walk, may as well hatch some drat eggs.

I bought a cheap phone swing on AliExpress for about 10$ a few weeks ago and it’s fantastic for this event. The phone swing gets you about 3km per hour with adventure sync. I can hatch 4-5 eggs per night with just the infinite incubator.
