I will note, not as a defender of the scene, it is set in the past relative to the main game and the writing implies she is still trans and just hasn’t surgically transitioned yet in the writing. It doesn’t help how much of a hot topic this is and it’s all fan translations still. But my understanding is the ending doesn’t make her not trans, it just makes her not yet fully out about it. My favorite thing about the CAPCOM stick is the left side gets a nice flat panel trim and the right side gets the weird wiggly round shape on their lap for that authentic player 2 experience.
