The thing about game devs and mmo guys working long hours is they do that work indoors with the AC on. Heatstroke is fast and deadly if you've never seen it before. I'm actually surprised the deathtoll isn't way higher.

Going by the number of people we had counting votes in my district when I volunteered there must've been hundreds of thousands of workers in the Indonesian elections. Between a bunch of old farts volunteering and maybe some pressure to get the results out by some random deadline in tropical conditions 200 dead is hefty but not completely unbelievable.

I make 7.50 an hour, I'm not a loving mental health councilor. - me, 10 years ago. The "best" one was the paranoid guy who thought it was really important that their convenience store checkout clerk be immediately informed about the lizard people/chemtrail/HAARP conspiracy. yeah dude, i'm a regular fox mulder. this is just a part time gig.
