I know we've lamented that the undead giant stepped on no people, but have we come to terms that there will 100% be no more giants in the show and therefore we will never see another giant stepping on people?

Wildlings crawled over it once or twice for kicks, the Night King waltzed through it the one time he tried, seems like the whole wall deal only worked out to be lovely to a few tribes of folks living north of it. Without dragons, yeah. It prevents large groups, like armies, from accessing the south. The wildlings original plan was to climb the wall, take control of castle black, and then open the gates for the Freefolk.

Hell I can't even remember if the Wall when it was originally built actually served its purpose? They built it to stop the White Walkers from coming down, but I'm pretty sure they had already defeated the WW and the wall was just a preventative measure for the future. 8000 years and it didn't even work when they finally needed it

In the books Victarion got a nasty cut on his hand which festered and went septic. The maester on his ship said they'd have to cut it off. But a priest of the Lord of Light said he could save the hand, and in private did some magic that made an already hosed up dude super hosed up with some beast strength. So he decided to worship the Drowned God and the Lord of Light....and his brother Euron wasn't going after loving Cercei. He wanted Dany, and he sent Victarion off to get her. Viccy meanwhile decided gently caress that, he'd take Dany himself as payback for Euron raping his wife years ago.

You know what? For being shown as savages (and technically every group on the show is), the Dothraki are the ONLY loving people on the show that have a retirement home set up for khaleesi. And if you were a khaleesi you can't be turned into a slave or raped, you're taken to the retirement home. No one else has a loving retirement home. Now for the end credit scene: somewhere there is a White Walker that made it. Or there's some wilding who's eyes glow blue as the last scene.

In fact, hasn't literally every use of cavalry in the entire series involved holding them back until the enemy were invested then flanking them? I'm thinking of like 3 specific instances I guess the stannis battle but they were outnumbered anyway in that one A GLISTENING HODOR posted:Just off the top of my head the Dothraki coming from behind Winterfell and charging the line laterally would be approximately 590,893,278,124,594^100000^10000000times more effective than using the cavalry as scouts. Yes

If red tit lady hadn't flame sworded all the cavalry, they would have all died during the charge before reaching the badguys. Like hey, lets run into pitch black on ice and snow. All the night king would've had to do is put a couple rocks out in front of his zombies and all of the horses would've killed themselves.
