I’ve been watching since season 1 (only because Tom & Lorenzo tipped me off to it when it came out) and this is the first time in a real long while that the drama/interactions didn’t feel manufactured as gently caress  I’m not seeing the same spark of talent but it’s entertaining enough I guess (also drat lay off women)

Honestly, this season has felt a bit more like the older ones to me. The queens are scrappier and less refined on average but still fierce, and also not afraid to butt heads and get messy. It even mirrors my favorite "classic season", season 5, in how there's not a clear front-runner and half the cast has won a challenge. Well, I'm assuming Vanjie will win at least one before she goes, which would tie it with S5 for unique maxi-challenge queen wins. Another S5 parallel is that Shuga is completely ignored by the edit despite doing pretty well. *cough* Iveeee Winterzz *cough*

It pains me to say this but I will consider it a surprise if Vanjie wins a challenge before she inevitably goes. A misstep from another Queen could buy her a week or two but now that she's cracked the bottom, it feels like a matter of time.

For some reason youtube decided I needed to see Snatch Game from AS2 and holy poo poo it is so much better than the past few snatch games, especially the train wreck that is this season's. Am I taking crazy pills, or is Shuga constantly being done dirty? What a fabricated-as-hell bottom placement. I was actually spoiled that she'd be gone this week(*), but even watching I was thinking "that can't be right, they're doing so well". But then they put in some of those shady Ru reaction shots and no laughs at her jokes, and I saw it coming. Yeah nah she was good in the challenge and did a decent runway. I don’t know what it will take to make silky lip synch, ru loses her poo poo the second her mouth opens. Even though I love yvie even she would have been a better bottom this week

Yeah, I don't even think Vanjie deserved it either. Silky and Yvie would've made the most sense to me, with Yvie sending home Silky. But Ru is dragging Silky to the end whatever it takes.

I don't think Silky quite deserved to be in the bottom, since as messy as she looked she brought some personality to that show. (Whether you like her brand of personality or not, it's better to be too much than bland when it comes to a performance) I thought Vanjie was... fine? I don't think she did particularly worse than the rest of her team, but it would make sense for her to be laser-focused when she's the only one on the losing team to not have won a challenge yet. I think I'd pick Yvie and Vanjie myself - much as Yvie put in some "structure" to their show her lines just sounded stiff.

Call me a conspiracy fish, but not since Max has a queen done so unexpectedly well in the competition that production had to find the lamest excuse to justify sending her home, even if it made no sense. I fully buy the theory that Shuga was cast as a filler queen expected to go home early, but who gave them little opportunity send home. At this point, it's too late in the competition, Ru has pretty much decided his top 4 and while the two still have unresolved storylines. Poor Shuga gets the chop for not making sense with Ru/production's fantasy.
