Them doing Mad Kween Dany is an 'about drat time' moment. It will forgive a lot for me even tho I wish they had built it up more like the books. But if it's true it is what I've been expecting Dany's end to be for p much a decade now.

However the enemy will miss every other shot!!! Such drama!!!

I doubt Stannis would even be back in a flashback considering the actor hated the show and D&D. He really was the true king.

It's really confusing how they're going to just get Rhaegal owned out of the blue like that because, rightly, they've figured that Cersei can't really even have a pretence of winning while Daenerys has two dragons but they didn't have him go out fighting Viserion to the death last episode. They gave a more dignified ending to the little girl who reads her lines in monotone than one of the actual selling points of the series. Maybe Euron was yelling at the dragons when aiming and that's why they hit, but he stopped yelling when he shot at Dany.

I like how those dragons were originally basically described as flying immortal gods and yet we saw two of them die in a one minute sequence and each time we see Emilia Clarke giving her acting face #4 to look surprised and a tiny bit shocked.

I think book Bram peeps on people through the wirewoods so he can only see thing that happen or have happened at a certain distance from the trees. So he can see what's going on in king's landing but not on a boat or the rest of the southern kingdom cause all the tree there have been cut down. Nobody has thought about this on the show and it will never be brought up why Bram doesn't help.

There’s a flood of bitter Daenerys stans in r/freefolk right now talking about how it’s a character-ruining last-second heel turn and it’s hilarious. I was convinced the show was just teasing it but wouldn’t actually follow through, and that one of Jon or Dany were going to die heroically since that’s the simplest route to an uncontroversial bittersweet ending. I couldn’t be happier to be wrong. I mean, I don’t expect a mad queen finish to be well-executed, because nothing has been since they were left with nothing more to work off of than a napkin of GRRM’s hastily-scribbled bullet points. It’s all been big dumb spectacle for awhile now. But at least it’ll be an interesting clusterfuck of an ending.

The Unnamed One posted:To be fair everyone knows killing dragons is just like whaling, but pointing upwards quote:Harpooner Ishmael (Corey Sevier) joins Ahab (Danny Glover) and his crew on the Pequod, in this instance an armored land boat that hunts for dragons. The seven-strong crew ostensibly seeks the precious "vitriol", a highly explosive liquid substance found inside the fire-breathing winged creatures, which powers the mythical realm they live in. Ishmael joins their quest, and soon learns that in fact, Ahab's mission is one of revenge on a particular great white dragon that decades ago scarred and injured him, and killed his sister. Forced to hide from the sunlight due to the burn wounds on his body, Ahab now tries to kill all dragons, and especially the white one. Conflict arises through a romantic entanglement between Ishmael and Ahab's adopted daughter, Rachel (Sofia Pernas), which causes hostility from the jealous hothead Flask (Larry Bagby). In the white dragon's lair, Ahab's secrets are revealed and Rachel must choose between following him on his dark quest or escaping to a new life with Ishmael. She chooses the latter and in a final confrontation, Ahab's spear, which was tied to his foot, becomes entangled in the White Dragon's neck. The creature flies off with a screaming Ahab, until he is slammed against a rock pillar and silenced. The white dragon flies off into the distance, with Ahab's body clinging on to it.

I was really disappointed when it looked like they weren't going down that route. The worst part is D&D will be able to point at season 2 and go 'but look guys we foreshadowed it all along!' due to their added vision of the Keep in ruins. But it doesn't count as foreshadowing or build up when they also removed everything else from the House of the Undying that leads toward Dany being even more mentally unstable than her bloodline has the potential to make her. You can't point toward her ending that early in the show, then not build up to it at all. It's lovely how unearned this is going to feel, but I'm still excited for it either way. It's much better than the alternative which was me assuming they'd change Dany's end to please fans.
