I had to rebuy Atrocity Exhibition because I somehow misplaced the disc, which lead to me listening to it in my car, and holy gently caress is that album dark. Like, Ain't it Funny is a banger whether you pay attention to the lyrics or not, but it's pretty heavy lyrically and that's most of the record, thematically (although really, with a name like Atrocity Exhibition, that shouldn't be surprising). I've heard he's doing better now mentally, I'm glad. I'd rather he never make another dope record again and be happy, if that's what it takes. gently caress this suffering for art poo poo. Actually just received a vinyl for a remix record where he took classic Christmas songs and flipped them with MF DOOM vocals. It’s actually incredible. His “Soul Beach” instrumentals are also a favorite.
