They're trying to build a public case for airstrikes and possibly more, just like they've been trying to do with Venezuela. Only they're so blisteringly incompetent that even our lapdog media is largely indifferent, so they ordered a carrier to move somewhere else, because that's the kind of thing that the media can't help but play up. But once again the blistering incompetence means they can't generate enough bullshit stories to keep the media focused, so it falls off the radar until sometime next week when they'll try to start all this up again.
