Being a lily-white Canadian who listens to hip hop is crazy, when I listened to Tierra Whack's 'Wasteland' she has the line "Say you 'bout your green (Green)/ Rest in peace to Troy (Troy)" and I built up a whole theory in my head about how she was referencing a widely admired but not mainstream popular musical artist named Troy Greene. Just googled it and it turns out she was talking about her pet turtle. Anyway her music is good.

I don't buy that at all since he said explicitly around when Old came out that he made the back half as festival songs deliberately for some of the fans he got from the more party stuff he had on XXX and his features. Those songs were intended to cater to partying and poo poo. Which fwiw was one of the reasons I thought XXX was much better-even though it had a somewhat similar split of "real" poo poo vs. fun poo poo not only is it reversed, but it is much more gradual in how the "real" is presented. He doesn't sound out of place basically ever with whatever subject matter he's rapping about and makes great tracks about basically everything.

I don't hate Side B but I do feel like some of the beat choices age it, which isn't something that I think affects Side A or most of Danny's modern output nearly as much

Side A is better, but if Side B starts with "Dip" and "Dubstep" I think those tracks own. I've heard that Dubstep is "dated" but if so that just means it's a unique cool-sounding song because it still sounds great.
