the symphogear website updated with the new season's character designs so its time for fashion swat cute christmas sweater but what do those socks have to do with anything, hibiki. 7/10  this is actually a really nice outfit but idk whats with the tiiiny lil shoulder slits? anyway 8.5/10  this seems like just a more sensible version of her s1 and s2 dresses but i dont like the weird brown rose. 8/10  maria. maria we said casual clothes  this shade of pink is kinda ugly when its that overwhelming?  kirika what happened to your stupid devil hoodies...

Symphogear GX, despite having one of the strongest opening episodes thus far, was pretty easily the weakest season thus far. The villains were incredibly weak and at no point did it have the strong build up and clash of ideals/personalities that the first and G had. At best I can say that it was a season that enabled characters that I already had a strong attachment to to grow further and have some good scenes. I also at first found it profoundly weird how forgiving it was of lovely dads but after learning that the writer's father died apparently mid-season that sort of puts it into perspective.

I also found Hibiki forgiving people who really haven't earned it to be reasonably in character for her, so that helped. But also yes.
