Things like this and the Cedric tweet make me shake my head and wonder if these people even think about anything other than the number on the contract and the CHILDHOOD DREAM when they sign. Like, what did you think was gonna happen?

Yeah, I think Britt Baker who is a good friend and direct contemporary of Deonna's did the right thing in signing with AEW in a whole bunch of ways.

Britt gets to keep her dental practice. Something a WWE and a WWE contract would get her to drop completely. A decent afternoon's work would probably earn her more than being in six-woman tag on a WWE main roster live event where she has to pay her road expenses. I honestly don't know what the minimum main roster live event payoff is in 2019. But Jim Ross said back in the day it was $500 but that was when attendance was higher. Also, there's a lot to be said for sleeping in your own bed and not dealing with airports.

WWE posted a video a while ago of NXT signees where a few people said they signed without even looking at the terms, and it is portrayed as a good thing

Their entire business model relies on people that were fans and will put up with bullshit because of the "honor" of working for WWE

I think like two years ago Bully Ray said "I'd rather get a 5-figure payday than a 5-star match" and tons of people mocked him for it until Dave went "Ray's right wtf guys" so stupid fandoms is not exclusive to WWE's.

Yeah it’s a total cult mindset. Sure we’re not going to treat you well and pay won’t be very good. But don’t you remember watching us as kids???

I don’t know why anyone would give a poo poo about the combine thing in a negative way. If anything, it might make people see them more legitimately in an athletic way.

it's just another poorly thought out idea by triple h and the lovely trainers they have there who think you should work toward powerlifting in order to do wrestling and get injured a lot

This is pretty much it. I brought up the other day about how many WWE talents have had shoulder injuries in recent years elsewhere and got blasted by people for it. It is the number one injury in WWE and rarely to never happens elsewhere.

I wish Truth hadn't been busted on the wellness all those years ago. He was such a great act in 2011 and only since Mix Match Challenge we're seeing his good side again.

In his interviews he really just comes off like a dude that wants to wrestle and make music. That's a pretty solid life.

going from watch Minoru Suzuki affiliated shooter in AJPW/Hard Hit to seeing Hikaru Sato doing his pervert gimmick in YMZ is bizarre. It'd be like finding out Shibata spent his NJPW run moonlighting in some micro-indy wearing S&M gear.
