I picked up A Robot Named Fight a few days ago and it's really good. Most of the roguelite metroidvania nonsense games I've played tend to just ignore the metroid side of things, which is why I'm happy Fight places an emphasis on finding traversal upgrades and unlocking new parts of the map. It's on sale right now and I'd definitely recommend picking it up.

I mean it is the plot of XV in slightly more comprehensible form but its not 20 dollars good. Especially in a world where XV will absolutely be a combination of backwards compatible/enhanved on PS5, Xbox (u)

I was scrolling past posts rather quickly to catch up with the thread and this one caught my eye. Good album, good game. Turns out you should not fight the dragon at level 46 on hard mode. Fortunately you can go to the expansion area by then, and it seems much more well-designed anyway.

A slim USB-connected DVD drive is a fantastic thing to own for the odd occasion when you have to use physical media, especially when they're literally the size of CD cases now. And I frankly still can't process that they're that small now and still full DVD-burner-speed-capable.

https://twitter.com/Nibellion/status/1133365038314590210quote:Nintendo’s reasoning is that, with global leaderboards, the matchmaking for competitive play would be compromised if you could play with friends. That limitation also extends to co-op play as well despite those not being leaderboard driven. I mean I'm lucky (I guess) in that I didn't have any plans to play multiplayer anyway, I much more enjoy making stages and seeing people play them, but this is still real dumb

That makes no sense whatsoever. I would also be really surprised if Witcher 3 was coming to switch considering it never came to Xbox 360 or ps3. I'd buy that thronebreaker spinoff if it came to switch though. Lord Lambeth fucked around with this message at 14:39 on May 28, 2019 |

Amusing that their solution to the question "How do we prevent players colluding to exploit global leaderboards?" is to not let them play together at all, and not to just disable/have a separate leaderboard for friends.
