I have an enormous PS3 backlog - to the extent that I've come to terms with the idea of never buying another console - and I'm actually really looking forward to Remember Me. I'd heard it was actually quite good.

I just think DONTNOD are at their best when they don't try to make a gameplay-focused game like Remember Me or Vampyr. Life is Strange is an excellent series, so if they just become the next Telltale they'll be fine. ...until they go bankrupt in a few years.

Remember Me doesn't have great gameplay, but its art direction and presentation are superlative and it's worth a measly few bucks on sale for that imo

People are posting Tiananmen Square and other banned topics in the comments below in hopes the great firewall sees this dude. Trying to profit off of someone else’s work is lovely, but trying to get a dude dragged off into a gulag to be executed is a bit much.

Okay they finally just removed the steam page. Kind of loving crazy how despite several articles being written about the game and an EA employee saying they contacted Valve about the game, they didn't get around to removing the page until just now. Ripoff posted:People are posting Tiananmen Square and other banned topics in the comments below in hopes the great firewall sees this dude. If it's the one I'm thinking of, there's a copypaste that got popular because of a Reddit post about how Japanese people had this long list of keywords they would use in replies to Chinese phishing emails. From what I understand, it's not that they're hoping the government sees it, it will just automatically lock them out of the internet for a certain amount of time or something, possibly repercussions extending from there like you said but apparently the effect is instant. I know people who, with mixed results, have placed this in the chat of 1v1 games against players with Chinese steam names and they'd get booted from the game instantly.

Once the article came out, everything was replaced with an apology (see image above, the IM SORRY was the game icon) apologizing for plagiarizing everything "as a joke"

I know some Japanese posted the original form of that myth as a joke, poking fun at Chinese censorship. Then a ton of people online started spamming it as the hot new meme. But I haven't seen any actual evidence that it leads to people getting disconnected or having their internet shut off.

I’m getting pumped to see how many folks do palette swaps on old games and upload them to Steam, like a new era of the knock-off NES games that came on those magazine-ad 400-in-1 game consoles. In the meantime, check out my new games, Prairie Fight 1943 and Victoria Cross 2! Only $9.99 each!

The game in question war Artifact, for the record. Toward the end of the game's lifespan (two weeks after release) it was pretty much 50/50 on queuing into a Chinese player, and you also had to pay money to play Keeper Drafts, so those things combined made me believe the things I was hearing. Also Google translating insults the Chinese players would say into English was very great

Wait, the history-based World of Warships game turns naval ships into anime boobs now? And it's selling like mad? Remind me of this next time grognards start whining uncontrollably about 'mah realism' when a minority/female character gets added to their military game.

If you think people need a solid historical reason to make stuff into anime girls you haven't been paying attention

If it was just anthropomorphizing vessels, ok, I get behind that, there's some interesting things you could do with it narratively, I guess. This is not that, it's clearly about putting boobs on boats. I mean, sure, enjoy whatever you want. It's still dumb as hell and pretty embarrassing. I dont know posted:How does this work exactly? The tie-in stuff was recolors / alternate skins of existing boats plus some anime girl announcers you could equip.
