as far as i know the afd has been stable at around 11 - 13% ever since they got into parliament in 2017 the greens have taken their votes mostly from the spd (center-left) and a little bit from the union (merkels party, center-right)

Norway probably? Maybe Iceland or Sweden. None of the euro countries y that's for drat sure

The FRP party(16%) is a member of Norway's centre-right government coalition. The Social Democrats(S) (28%) in Sweden have adopted a more restrictive immigration policy. Most parties still refuse to work with the Swedish Democrats(SD) (17%). The Finns party got 17% of the vote in Finland. Austerity still reigns and they all have their fair share of chuds but they could have it worse.

We'll be reckoning with the damage of austerity after 2008 for a long time
|
# ? Jun 9, 2019 00:27 |

Will there be any reckoning? We will suffer it, sure, but reckoning? Also a recession is coming and ECB rates has been at zero for years. Bets on more austerity?

yeah its really bad, plus with zero-bound policies + qe in the past few years failing to meaningfully increase inflation there is literally 0 room for maneuver, any future recession can be met by only pro-cyclical contractionary responses wrt monetary policy (either doing nothing, or raising interest rates, which was only possible back when the poors couldnt vote) 'cause interest rates cant fall lower than 0 (i mean, the imf had a working proposal for negative rates but i doubt it will be in any way practically feasible). and this isn't even counting how some states (italy, greece) are already severely overstretched in their budgets despite a full decade of cuts, tears and blood and sweat. shits gonna be real bad

The Portugal Day celebrations were marked by the president inviting in a former colleague of his tv station to make a speech in response to his. It ended up being "What if Jeff Newsroom was Portuguese, and if he was shaming the current president for saying the Portuguese were the best", including a wish for better times that were somewhat prior to 1974 but somehow woke because he mentioned a poem where Luis de Camões falls in love with a black slave. The Portuguese Twitter sphere is full of fascists really wanting him on the Presidential seat. The press is disgusted at the president for criticizing the right and saying he wants to be elected by both the right and the left. I need a drink. Good news! Mike Pompeo sending felicitations to the Portuguese was greater news than the entire speech. Thank you for being the equivalent of a Malibu Stacy cart running in front of the slightly more national turd, you big lug. Kunster has issued a correction as of 22:50 on Jun 10, 2019 |
