Too general to guess a specific song, but my guess would be something from Gotan Project, since this is kind of their thing.

Most famous one for the accordion is Stereo Love, though it could be another one by Edward Maya

It's been sampled in other places, most likely: the original song is Bayatilar

I need help finding a music video. MTV Nordic played it in the late 90s or early 2000s. It was probably some sort of pop song. The only thing I remember is there was a huge rear end woman singing parts of it. Like, she was so overweight that it became the focal point of the video. I think she wore a red or pink dress. Long hair. High pitched voice.

I thought it was Cotton Eye Joe by Rednex, but it wasn't any of their songs or a cover band.

This started out as me wanting to see who the singer was, but it's turned into me spending the entire day trying to figure out if the song is a figment of my imagination.

What's the whistling song at 53:53/1:01:02 (mobile) or 53:46/1:00:53 (desktop) in this episode of Invisibilia? It's not by any of the artists in the show notes, and Siri couldn't recognize it

Looking for a video I saw some years ago. It's a metal band, Swedish or from that general area, playing a song in the parking lot of a recording studio. A group of people come to watch. There's some saxophone parts in the song.

Really vague but here goes.

Late 90s early 2000s electronic type song that was probably a crossover hit and got some radio play. I've heard both the CD version and a live version played on indie radio somewhat recently.

It's uptempo and there's a man singing (melodic talking is more like it) and there's some distortion on his voice. I want to say this starts the song and then the music kicks in part way through. The singing is repetitive but it's a least a couple of lines, definitely more than just a short little saying or phrase.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

There's an 80s pop-rock song I have part of stuck in my head. I feel like I've posted something like this before. Male singer, I associate it with kind of the style of Mike Oldfiend, Lindsay Buckingham, or Mark Knopfler. Part of it sounds like this:
https://vocaroo.com/i/s1uxDO176U8o

Also, I have NO idea why I'm making this connection in my head but my brain is telling me it has to do with either the soundtrack to a movie with fantasy elements, or maybe the lyrics involve some kind of magic or something? I honestly don't know if that's coming from anywhere real or if its a red herring.

EDIT: It was Your Wildest Dreams by Moody Blues

Can anyone identify this song I recorded at a bar recently?

https://instaud.io/3FsJ

I know it's very hard to hear the song but I think it's probably still recognisable to anyone who knows it. The same DJ played a couple of other things that I knew (The Knife and Warpaint) and this sounded sort of in the same indie wheelhouse. It was very dreamy, I think the vocals were female and it's probably not very old, 10 years max

This is a bit of a long shot, because I don't actually remember any lyrics: a late '50s or early '60s (definitely pre-British Invasion) doo-wop song.

Each verse has back-up singers (the first half is a male voice, the second half female voices) singing this in the background: https://onlinesequencer.net/1129342

Hope this isn't too vague. The identity of this song is driving me nuts and people here are good at identifying relatively obscure music.

Just heard a song on the local oldies (50s-70s) station that really reminded me of Belle & Sebastian. Soft vocals, acoustic guitar, gentle drums. Chorus along the lines of "I don't know what I would do without you" or "I can't imagine losing you," etc.

No clue who it was, any ideas are appreciated.

Hey all, looking for a band more than a song. The album cover was two topless girls crouching by some water, like maybe they had been skinning dipping, with their backs to the camera but faces turned towards it and their faces were swirled out. The music is emo, kind of like slower modern baseball songs. One was called or had lyrics about being drunk or hung over again on a Tuesday and something like "this isnt what my dad had in mind when he sent me away to college". Thanks for any help!

EDIT: It was Bay Faction

I’m looking for a song/music video from the 2000s that became popular on Youtube largely because of SomethingAwful. It was all home-made by a bunch of teenagers and the video featured a statue of a bird, or somesuch, that the human protagonist had to appease through the completion of various tasks.

At one point the bird god says something like “I MUST FEED” and the dude offers it a burger, which it refuses with a line like “YOU PROFANE ME”. And I swear that particular scene spawned a bunch of memes but I can’t remember what it is.

Heard a hip hop song at work the other day, wasn't able to find out who did it. It seemed to be comical in nature, the end at least was. It had a dude with a low voice (I think they just lowered someone's voice, but maybe it was just someone with a naturally deep voice, I couldn't tell) complaining about something at a restaurant, like something is on his bill that he didn't order, but he gets embarrassed and apologizes when it is something he actually ordered.
