I mean, Goopy is basically saying "I can't help but notice you want to die; just open the window and I'll give you a hand with that." Tessa probably didn't commit suicide (and also get both her parents killed) off-screen, but I had to think about it for a second.

VGcats is just one of those odd pieces of history that's completely mystifying in retrospect. I don't think anyone who wasn't there at the time can believe it blew up when it doesn't have "good art", it definitely doesn't have good jokes, and it barely updated.

That weird Spanish guy who’s still doing that Vivian James/Not Vivian James Gamergate webcomic in 2019 is also making bank by selling porn to the incel fanbase he reeled in with said Gamergate webcomic. He’s also a terrible artist, so it shows that people will pay money for loving anything if it gets them randy.

I just actually read Sleepless Domain in full, and while I'm excited to see it continue, I feel like that was a LOT of comic to read for very little illuminating on the main plot. The bait-and-switch in the first three chapters was great, though! Also Tessa's homeroom teacher is definitely a self-insert for the author, right?

I'm transgender. This is going to be very strange or uncomfortable to some of you and I totally understand and respect that. Good for her. Her comic is still repulsive on every conceivable level, but maybe there's a chance she'll find some self-awareness now?

Maybe the comic's constant veering into extremely bad despair holes was an artifact of her dysphoria and related depression? I mean I'm not going to start reading it again (ask me about my bad webcomics decisions) but that would be nice.

I kinda stopped caring about weird names since I got involved in the burner community. I know people who by Portals, Cowboy, Meowmeow, Apatheus, etc. I don't even know most of their real names. As far as I'm concerned, if you have the opportunity to choose a new name and DON'T choose something weird, it's a missed opportunity.

Yes, it is a Trans Girl Thing to name yourself something weird. But I've seen weirder. I mean, Ellipsis is up there, but it's not the top weird name I've seen. (Not IRL, since my boring rear end country doesn't allow "non-proper names" as official names. But still.)

I mean, famously and most up front, the character of Switch in the first film was supposed to be played by a female actor in the Matrix and a male actor in the real world but the studio squashed it. Then there's the fact that the entire movie centers around a group of rebels reclaiming their own physical bodies from social system that holds them in literal bondage, and gaining incredible freedom (and superpowers) by awakening to the true reality of what they really are.
