Millions of innocent Venezuelans are fleeing Maduros torture camps each day. Plus he lost the election!!

wots all this then

quote:

Caracas, Jun 15 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan authorities have denounced a complex corruption and conspiracy network in opposition sectors that are manipulating the alleged humanitarian aid collected in Cucuta, Colombia.

Communication and Information Minister Jorge Rodriguez posted on his Twitter account details of the appropriation of funds for the alleged aid with US support in February by supporters of the illegal self-proclaimed president Juan Guaido.

'On March 23, we denounced Guaido's gigantic corruption plot with money sent to Cucuta to recruit hit men,' Rodriguez wrote.

Two opposition representatives, identified as Rossana Barrera and Kevin Rojas, members of the Voluntad Popular party and designated to attend to Venezuelan military defectors, were signaled Friday by the US media as implicated in the diversion of these funds.

However, the spokesman for the Venezuelan government had warned of the corruption relation with the clandestine operation, revealed after the arrest of Roberto Marrero, Guaido's right-hand man.

On the other hand, international news channel Telesur on Saturday confirmed that 60 percent of the food in the 'humanitarian aid' was rotten.

A communique from Colombia's National Disaster Risk Management System reported the humanitarian aid would be distributed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (Usaid) to Venezuelans who had 'fled' and other vulnerable sectors of Cucuta, Telesur added.

The report accuses the two envoys of corruption investigated by Colombian intelligence, added Madelein, although it justifies their actions as the fault of the 'system.

lmao that there's a big Venezuelan refugee community in Colombia struggling in abject poverty, and they just let 60% of the aid in Cucuta go rotten because it was pure political theater.

yeah that's true but like meanwhile the active sonar used by all navies in the world is deadly to marine life within hundreds of miles of its use haha

quote:

Sonar systems—first developed by the U.S. Navy to detect enemy submarines—generate slow-rolling sound waves topping out at around 235 decibels; the world’s loudest rock bands top out at only 130. These sound waves can travel for hundreds of miles under water, and can retain an intensity of 140 decibels as far as 300 miles from their source.

quote:

Two lower courts upheld NRDC’s claims, but the Supreme Court ruled that the Navy should be allowed to continue the use of some mid-frequency sonar testing for the sake of national security. “The decision places marine mammals at greater risk of serious and needless harm,” says NRDC’s Joel Reynolds.

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/does-military-sonar-kill/

quote:

That can interfere over hundreds of miles with some marine mammals like whales, dolphins, and walruses that rely on underwater sound for navigating, catching prey, and communicating. LFA sonar can harm the animals by interrupting mating, stopping communication, causing them to separate from calves, and inflicting stress. Sounds above 180 dB can disrupt the animals’ hearing and cause physical injury. In 2005, 34 whales became stranded and died off in North Carolina because of nearby offshore Navy sonar training, according to Scientific American.

quote:

The cash that was used to entice desperate soldiers and would-be mercenaries to defect became a slush fund for the US-backed coup leader and his gaggle, who spent it lavishly on hotels, expensive dinners, nightclubs and designer clothes. As Guaidó’s gang lived the high life, he covered for their fraud, keeping his lips sealed until it was exposed through a leak by the Colombian intelligence services.

At a press conference on June 17, Guaidó attempted to downplay his responsibility and redirect public anger back towards Maduro. “The government does not manage [public] resources because we are in the process of transition,” he said. “The dictatorship has begun a process of disinformation.”

But then the defecting Venezuelan soldiers announced plans for a press conference where they pledged to provide even more evidence of fraud.
