I might have to do some travelling to get my big raids done, from the look of things. I think the local community kinda fell apart, though gyms are still contested here and there. I guess there's pokemon party busses in some areas that go from place to place in Austin? I was able to take down my first raid boss (level 1) and got Shinx (Shinkx!) out of it. So, I've been doing more driving than walking lately. I don't want to be a slacker that's not sending gifts to my friends-am I doing the wrong (or right) thing by holding off on opening new gifts until I hatch my eggs or should I prioritize opening them to deepen relationships (and gain ridiculous xp)? For Pokemon games proper, they had a trading thread. Is there anything like that goons have for Pokemon Go? Is it enough of a pain that I should reroll my field quest to trade a pokemon since it has to be someone that's actually near me?

Well, I'm not actually doing this a lot any more, the 7km eggs you get from gifts aren't always worth it. Now I don't have Gible yet and I'd like a 10k egg with it in it.

Prioritize the exp from building friendship. Only get eggs from presents if you want the 7km eggs which has slightly rarer and Alolan form Pokemon. What hatches from eggs change from time to time so always check here if you want to make sure. The only other thing you might want from getting 7km eggs from presents is to go for the "Pilot" medal (basically achievements that give no real reward and are just for fun) which is to get a certain distance racked up from how far away the Pokemon you traded with are. Like if you trade and your Pokemon was from Washington state and the other Pokemon was from Florida, you'll get around 4500km toward the goal in that medal. This is why people tend to want to friend people as far as away from them as possible so that they can get eggs from those places to trade for distance. The antipode finder will tell you where exactly the furthest place is from your location if you care. To answer your last two together, there's no trading thread because Niantic's propensity for anti-cheating makes it so trading anything you really want will cost an arm and a leg in stardust unless you're ultra/best friends. Not to mention you have to be physically close to trade so it doesn't matter if someone in South Africa has what you want and is willing to trade you. The only way you can trade with people far away is if you give them your login credentials and they have a second device to log in for you, but that means you have to trust that person won't steal your poo poo or sabotage your account. Not to mention if you log in with Google, it's a lot harder to set it up what with the new device detection and security checks. So even if you trust someone and can get this all going, you have to wait until you're ultra/best friends or else trading a single legendary or shiny that you don't already have is going to cost 1,000,000 or 800,000 stardust.

So is there any way to force adventure sync to, you know, sync? I did 5km+ at my first job this morning and would love to swap out the another batch of eggs before I do a second 5km this afternoon. But I've logged in like a half dozen times and it just not pulling the data.

Apart from "frequently checking to make sure adventure sync didn't deactivate itself", I find that checking the apple health app to make sure it's still tracking stuff is also sometimes necessary (and if it's not tracking, rebooting the phone)

it's weird that so far into its release, Go still has trouble crediting people with actual distance walked but will give you a bunch of free KMs if you just leave the app up in an area with poor reception. I played a bit during the first month and remember thinking "they'll be sure to work this kink out pretty soon." Adventure Sync makes it much more consistent but even it has problems sometimes

That being said, if we get the five free raid passes like on Lapras day, I'll definitely waste an hour doing some raids. Not gonna waste premium passes though. I'm so happy they keep doing events at 3 or 4pm lately. I go to work at 630am every day so it's been working out great for me (except for Lapras day which I had to switch around my schedule for and then I didn't even get a shiny  )

So it turns out that Tropius is pretty goddamned insane in the current Silph pvp cup. Anybody around here have access to wild spawns? I've got a trade burner account with a bunch of goodies and like 600k dust I'd be open to handing over the credentials and letting you loot whatever in exchange for catching a few <1500 cp on it that I can trade over to my main. Or, ya know, just somebody that's spoofing and willing to grab a couple-few and trade em with me. Either or works. Feel free to PM me if you're not up for posting about it in public. I just want a bananaplane or three. Edit: also this is why pvp is loving stupid. Why not make a regional one of the best in meta? They banned it? drat, I have a legit one from Spain all powered up with two moves and I don't really have any of the other grass options... In the past I had no reason to evolve low-CP community day mons to get the special CD move, how could I know that the PvP meta was going to require those?

How stable have spawns been in people's areas? Maybe they're littered everywhere, but I have snowrunt and misdreavus spawning fairly often and hope they'll continue to do so until I'm able to evolve them-especially since despite a dozen or so spawns, misdreavus is super stingy for IVs. Does the future look as starved for sparkle dust as I'm afraid it will be?

Spoofing is done over WiFi. The real problem seems to be the gps in people's phones, including mine, fights with the fake gps app and you bounce around. Some people cover their phone in aluminum foil, I take mine into the basement (it takes a few minutes to start bouncing so I can grab a location off a map, teleport there and grab). Go to the Pokemon go spoofing Reddit for tons of info
