Are you an LPer looking for a new game to LP? Or do you just want to tell the world how awesome [Insert LP here] is? Welcome to your one-stop shop for all of the above, the LP Req Room! For both my sanity and yours, we're going to tackle these one at a time, so first up, Requests. R U L E S 1. All normal forum rules apply. 2. Scan the LP Master List before making a request for a game just in case it hasn't been done before. (Searching with a blank box shows Abandoned LPs.) WANT TO MAKE SOME CHANGES TO THE MASTER LIST!?? Did you know that the LP Master List is entirely Goon curated? That's right! baldurk only adds games that get archived to the Master List. All those other LPs that are ongoing, or finished, or abandoned, are left in our capable hands to catalogue! If there's something you think needs to be added, or changed, or whatever, feel free to log on and do it yourself. Here's the relevant information from baldurk himself: baldurk posted:The Master List 3. If it's not on the LP Master List, post the name of the game (tagged in bold for visibility), the system(s) it can be played on, and the style of LP preferred (screen shot [SSLP], video [VLP], or hybrid [HLP]). If you are seeking a more specific type of LP, please elaborate (e.g., 100% run, no items, low level, etc.). In addition, do not request LPs of entire game series (ex: the Final Fantasy Series, the Armored Core series, the Ys Series, etc). Series LP requests are generally too broad and unfeasible to be effective. If there is a subseries of certain games within the franchise you would like to see LPed, that's fine, but please be specific when making your request. In short:
4. Games will only be taken off the list once they're finished, archived, or gone unfulfilled for over six months. If a game hasn't been picked up within that time, it will be presumed that there isn't any current interest in LPing it. Requested LP threads that have gone three months without an update (either via content or by the LP author saying something came up, etc) will also be removed from the list and considered abandoned. However, feel free to re-request any game that falls off the list. Requests on the cusp of the cut-off date will be moved to the ON THE BUBBLE list at the start of each month and then removed completely if not reupped by the end of that month. 5. If you request a game and an LP of it already has been done, it will only be added to the list if there is a valid reason - this is to prevent the list from becoming too unwieldy. (For example: "it's old" or "I didn't like [STUPID GOON NAME HERE]'s LP of it" aren't valid reasons, but "all the videos were deleted" or "I'd like to see it in a different format" is). Note: Requests will be updated whenever I have time, usually within the first few days of the month. Should something require attention in a more urgent manner, you can either PM me or ping me on the SA LP Discord. When you fulfill a request, linking your thread in this topic would be appreciated a ton. Requested games currently being LPed are highlighted in bold with links to their respective threads by their names. And lastly, thanks to Darardusaki, Terror Van, FutureFriend, Blind Sally, and nine-gear crow for creating the first five LP Request threads and maintaining those clusterfucks - particularly FutureFriend, who put most of these rules down on paper. On the flip side, let's talk about Recommendations. This is where you get to tell us how awesome that LP you started watching the other day is, and we should totally drop everything to go see it ourselves.

Recommended LPs This was put together at the end of the previous thread, and it consists of a good number of "must-see" sorts of LPs (both new and old). They aren't in any particular order other than the VLPs and SSLPs being grouped together, although I might roll out a tag system once I have some time to sit down and play around with it later. Last update: 6/14/20 Video LPs

Huge thanks to everyone who helped add some recommendations in the last thread and for Crow undertaking the thankless task of maintaining this shitpile for the last however long. We're still looking for more recommendations, especially screenshot LPs, so keep 'em coming if there's something you want to give a shout out to!

I'm really digging chitoryu12's ongoing Oregon Trail 5 LP- we've finally gotten someone killed about 1/2 way into the second run. I'm shocked no one has gotten sick from the number of poisonous plants that the thread has ordered eaten, though.

for SSLPs of someone absolutely breaking a game open, I'd recommend Orange Fluffy Sheep's LPs of Digimon World and Final Fantasy Tactics Digimon World includes OFS having a friend analyse the game code to figure out how to get a Hercules Kabuterimon because the requirements are so completely obscure and uncertain, among other things, and FFT includes him beating that Riovanes Castle fight in three turns morallyobjected fucked around with this message at 04:46 on Jul 10, 2019 |

I was going to do this idea myself, but I upgraded my computer and tried to get it to work for weeks, to no avail (thanks to the tech support folks for trying to help though!). So I would like to strongly second a Pathologic 2 LP. In video format, because the atmosphere is really important. A potentially cool optional gimmick I was working on was to lean hard into the stage play themes- the LPer themselves would play the role of the main character, with guest commentators starring as other major characters. I know a lot of people get annoyed by someone reading every line of dialogue, but I think it could work really well in this specific game, even if the performance isn't the greatest.

I'd like to put in a recommendation for Fedule's Everybody's Gone To The Rapture. There have been a lot of LPs regarding modded games. This is an LP that should be a mod for the game. Fedule's commentary borders on developer-level discussion of the game's design and plot. Fedule has also added in an overlay identifying the speaking characters & their connections to each other, which is super useful considering that there are no visual cues to differentiate people.

I'd like to request an LP of Darwinia a strategy game by Introversion Software (guys who made Uplink, Defcon, Prison Architect, etc). I remember trying the demo for it when it first came out on Xbox 360 and really liking it, but I never got around to playing it.

https://lparchive.org/Deus-Ex-(by-Bobbin-Threadbare)/ Bobbin Threadbare's Deus Ex, a series a lectures. Probably the single most informative LP ever made. Not only examines every tiny detail in one of the most mechanically complex games of all time, but follows each game play session with a bonus lecture of the organisations, history and philosophy discussed in the game!

Final Fantasy VII by Elentor This LP is basically a love letter to Final Fantasy VII. A lot of us went into that thread thinking we knew everything about the game, but I'm pretty sure each one of us discovered at least one thing we never knew. It's very well written and informative. Final Fantasy VIII by Cool Ghost This LP is basically a love letter to Final Fantasy VIII. It shows that this game isn't as bad as people remember, and that it has a rich story and deep lore. Sadly, almost all of the is hidden, but Cool Ghost knows exactly where to look to find it. It's very well written and informative.

A few notes about the Planescape LP: 1) it is incredibly long. 2) I don't know if it's still available but the entire LP was converted to a six-part PDF that's basically a novel series. 3) One of the readers fell into a coma for, like, two years and stumbled back into the forums to find out the LP was still going.

VLP of Geist, for Gamecube. An FPS with possession as the main gimmick. Arguably weird enough to balance out the jankiness? VLP of Pinball Quest, for NES. It's a pinball RPG. On the NES. An HLP of Eternal Eyes for the PS1. An SRPG that feels kind of like a (very) rough draft of the NIS SRPGs in some ways, or Rhapsody with most of the charm extracted. VLP of Tsugunai: Atonement for the PS2. A third-person RPG in which you possess people and solve their mundane problems because you stole some treasure from a goddess and got cursed. SSLP of Disgaea Infinite for PSP. A visual novel with time looping, kind of like Trace Memory. And some picks that should be possible to do without too much time investment, for anyone looking to bulk out their completed LPs list or dip their toes into LPing. SSLP of Chaos Gateway, on the Xbox 360 (XBLIG). A short visual novel, lightly amusing in its dumbness. VLP of Fantavision, for PS2. A launch title fireworks simulator. supergreatfriend played through Laser Lords during his weekly variety streams a few years ago. I haven't watched it myself (all that voice acting was too much to handle), but as far as game playing on the internet goes he's one of the best in the biz, so it's probably good if voice acting is indeed what you're looking for. My only gripe is that he had the chat displayed on the screen back then, but it's ignorable
