Brian's exasperation about that Jarrett segment was hilarious. If you watch this, you'll hate wrestling and my daughter won't go to college.

Bryan's new book worth seeking out? The title and concept don't have me too excited.

At least the new book probably won't bring up ratings as much? Sometimes those felt like they were just thrown in there. They are an important historical fact of course but sometimes they really ruined the narrative flow I feel in Death of WCW.

Gage and Lawlor had basically no chemistry the last time they were in a tag at Beyond so I have zero hopes for this.

The Lance Archer interview this week was good but it felt like he was defaulting to pitching the G1 to unaware audiences. Maybe some of the WOR audience hasn't actually watched it, but it felt like Lance spent a lot of time talking to people who weren't there.

Dave was pretty direct with Archer in that interview. When he talked about how he was "just a guy" in WWE, it reminded me a lil of when he buried Tom while on the same show as him.

Archer has been doing A TON of interviews in Dallas media explaining what the G1 is and why its so exciting. He probably got trained for that and defaulted to it during his Dave interview.

I listened to Cornettes review of all of Fyter Fest. Some fair critiques, lot of hate for the Bucks and Kenny. Highlights: Thinks Mark Quen really has something, thinks they should take him out of Private Party, get him trained properly, make sure he can talk, get him a great outfit to wear. Thinks there are few enough top level main event black talents promoted as such in wrestling and thinks he could be a huge deal and should be protected and marketed as such. Thinks Nyla Rose is great, should have squashed the two joshi and should have won with the knee drop on the ropes. Thinks MJF is astounding, would have gotten legit stabbed and killed in the day. Thinks Hangman is great, thinks Havoc is a joke and that Jungle Boy needs a slow build over TV. Thinks he’d like Darby Allin more if he didn’t know his gimmick was real, thinks he has potential, the bump through the ropes and on the apron were crazy, but looked great, should be saved for a big show. Didn’t have a big issue with the Cody chairshot. Hated on the Bucks and Cody, egged on by co-host who implied they hit the other team with a Hadouken. (They did, but the Hadouken is also a punch and they connected)

I didn't realize the chairshot was such a big thing. I figured more people woulda cried about Darby doing an unprotected coffin drop onto the apron.

The chair shot was scary because it was intended to be. They were doing an unprotected head shot, albeit with a gimmicked chair where the seat was cookie-sheet thin and would crumple, but the blood caught everyone off guard and made it seem way scarier. Now we know what happened, it wasn't that bad, but still dumb.
