It didn't help that in order to entertain this story, they just kept rolling stories on finding CP and showing blurred versions of it over and over again so you couldn't, for several months, watch news without seeing them straight up just put up that stuff on TV or that they were baffled that Casa Pia students kept being mocked for being potentially prostituted, with the final drop being those same tv networks being somewhat dismissive of Rape Culture. It certain didn't help EITHER that they had one of those shows where you send funny videos to and, for some loving reason, didn't edit the videos parents sent of their kids taking a bath and slipping or putting foam to just the funny part and added circus music to. So my guess as to why "Oh, a billionaire with a child sex dungeon has connections with all sorts of major people around the world" isn't being as covered here other than like, the bare minimum is less because some executive involved has a lot of shares on newspapers and tv broadcasters and more because they kind of fear that it would go the way of Casa Pia.
