Capcom is typically really good about fanprojects. Street Fighter X Mega Man started as a fangame, and they ended up supporting the developer, aiding in marketing and distributing it. ETA: Also, Mega Man Maker is pretty popular from what I've gathered, and they haven't done anything towards that that I've heard of, either. Ignoring whether it's lore friendly or not, we all know they're gonna be modeled after Cortana and Samus Aran out of her power armor before any Hal-9000 or Shodan ones happen. Although, with VR-chat being a thing, maybe not. Might be a toss-up between Skyrim-modded anime waifus and something random like those M&M characters.

Yeah they're basically what happens when humanity automates itself not only out of all jobs but out of government. Yeah look, I know. I've heard the stories too, the cat aliens ritualistically eat people while jacking off so they can get smarter. But, that's only making me 25% less likely to move to the cat alien planet. They have space jobs on the cat alien planet and space house prices are lower than on our planet. And frankly I'm not at all put off by the gecko planet where they shove you into their vaginas to harvest your memories. Maybe you should examine your space privileges.
