Still pissed about that 1 point loss, but gently caress me we binned it in the 4th quarter after playing decent footy for 3 quarters. I'm so annoyed with Masten just bombing it out of defense straight down Collingwood's throat, not once, not twice but three times. If you're at the loving goalpoasts, rush it, don't loving allow them free shots on goal within 50. OK so it was only Freo but good return from Birchall and Wingard actually started looking like the player we thought we'd traded in. Still won't make the finals but at least that's two wins on the trot.

For a time it looked like we would be heading into the draft with pick 1, and pick 19 (before bidding/afl bullshit), but then Gold Coast completely disintegrated and rear end in a top hat teams started losing to Carlton, so right now we're at 2 and 20, and if it keeps up it could be 3 and 21. The reason this matters is that this draft has 2 stand out kids only, both mids, rather than the usual 5-7 with a mix of positions.

Carlton also got Stocker out of the deal. And assumed we'd be higher up the ladder as well, which even our last two losses of 5 and 3 points would have changed things. And supposedly we're trading our picks this year anyway for an experienced player, not hitting the draft as much as previous years, so even if we had pick 3 we probably wouldn't use it in the draft. Pick 1 is a different story of course.
