Helith posted:Beautiful shot of Rexie. She has some whiskers! They're just really sparse and tiny and usually fall out pretty quickly. You can see one in that image if you look closely. But yeah she gets a lot of eye goobers we have to help her with. Doesn't really cause any ill effects, though. Acne is a way worse problem so we're checking her over and touching her up daily anyway.

I'll be That Guy this time. Ultra-cute, but a few comments in and you'll learn this puma was bought from a Russian contact-zoo and is dangerously and irresponsibly being kept as a house pet. https://blog.whyanimalsdothething.com/post/182870168072/puma-rescued-from-a-contact-type-zoo-cant-be Apparently, he's got some malnutrition issues that would keep him from being in the wild, but when they bought him they didn't know that and just thought he was cute and chill. mystes posted:Skunks are really cute but I'd be terrified of getting sprayed. I have them come through our patio at night, while we're sitting out, reading. So long as you don't make really sudden, large, aggressive moves, or loud noises, they'll be cool. I did startle one Monday, when I was out putting stuff away when it started to rain...he (or she) was wandering along the yard at the patio, and we did surprise each other (I'm not used to seeing them out during the day). Skunk froze & the tail came up for a moment; I stood still and called at her as though she were one of my cats & she chilled & moved on.

My parents new dog Augie that I posted about last week is like that, when I let him out I worry he's gonna hurt himself because he just hurtles through doors at top speed with out even waiting for them to fully open. Just shoulder blocking heavy glass sliding doors and poo poo.

The secret is he already pet the cat. It's been doing that ever since, and will continue to do so until pet by someone else, at which point the curse becomes theirs. Like a fuzzier It Follows.

Basebf555 posted:Some people have a thing about petting outside/stray animals because they think they're gonna catch a disease or something. As if it's a big deal to just wash your hands before you eat or whatever. The concern is rabies because you can't always tell an animal is infected. Common wisdom was that you didn't pet strange animals, and there is an issue with people coming from places where the disease has been all but eradicated traveling to somewhere where it isn't and getting infected because they got bit by a stray cat or dog.
