characterizing modern reactionary anti-liberal capitalist thinkers and their various hangers on as red browns seems like a weirdly anachronistic and inaccurate label, since most people in that weird subgroup aren’t fascists or socialists in any real sense, they’re like dominionists or volunteerists or some other kooky non-Liberal ideology with absolutely no mainstream following here’s a mild example: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Labour:_Forging_a_New_Politics the author and his cohort of Christian fundies and paleo-conservatives have been pushing the idea of a “communitarian” system meant to revive “authentic” relationships - which is a pretty left wing idea particularly the notion of authenticity being decimated by capitalism - but their solution to creating it is a sort of premodern Christian fantasy combined with neocolonialism and a return to manufacturing supported by that colonial extraction, combined with a collective effort to enforce discursive homogeneity by ejecting ethnic and religious minorities with distinctive cultural traits I don’t think I’d call these dudes red brown, I’ve met a few and they’re dangerous scum suckers but they’re not fascists, they’re not socialists, but they’re often anti capitalist and anti-commodification, just for the wrong reasons
