It doesn't need the nomination but Ishii/Moxley is absolutely a MOTYC and will be the best match of the G1 until Taichi/Ishii III blows everything out of the water.

I'm trying to figure out which match has the most potential to gently caress it up for him and I guess it's either Yano or Goto if Goto has one of his weird off days. Everything else is pretty much a guaranteed banger.

Guy went out and had an all time great match with Suzuki last year and then followed it up by making EVIL look awful. I can't understand how someone can have a great match with the Beer City Bruiser and an utterly forgettable one with Kota Ibushi in the same year.

MOTYC: Volador Jr, Sanson, Forastero and Cuatrero vs Gran Guerrero, Euforia, Soberano Jr and Templario Volador Jr was at his best here as were NGD. Everyone else was hanging with them too, Soberano looked the best he has in awhile as well. Great match. MOTYC: LA Park, Hijo De LA Park and LA Park Jr vs Bestia Del Ring, Mistico and Rush 7/19 CMLL You know what, screw I enjoyed those as much as some of the better G1 matches this week. Zack/Fale was also fun because that kind of quick, frantic count-out win is always great to see once or twice in these long tournaments (shouts out to SHO/Kanemaru) and I loved Zack immediately being the cockiest motherfucker alive for not going 0-4, but there wasn't quite enough there for me to justify an HM. Still an excellent night altogether.
