Stripper $60k model is probably limited to 2 colors, has cloth seats, push button start, and touchscreen / etc but no nav. LT2 adds heated/ventilated leather seats, LT3 is Nappa leather. It's $4k more than a base C7, but the auto trans adds half that anyway.

If Chevrolet is somehow the single company on the planet that hasn't noticed there's shitloads of super rich people with no sense of value on anything and are somehow selling a flagship rival to a McLaren or entry-level Ferrari for 1/3rd the price, good for them. I'm over here looking at the chart "How capitalism actually works" and not holding my breath.

Test drove 2016 IS300h today. Very comfortable seats, fits me perfectly. The drivetrain is very, very comfortable. Sure it has the CVT high rev drone, but I found it responsive and pleasant to use as it's so seamless. Can't even tell when the petrol engine connects or disconnects until I push it a bit (and hear it). Comfortable ride, quiet and feels planted in the one tight turn and the round-about I tried it in (lol). The only problem... My knuckle hits my leg when turning the wheel far enough. The steering wheel doesn't go up enough vertically... Going to try a car with electric seats and see if I can find a position that works. Also hit 4,7L/100km on a test drive where I only tried to stay in EV mode on 40km/h roads, so that's pretty good as well. Really like the look of them as well, and it's not a common car on the roads neither. I want to try a GS450h as well, but they are rare so might be a while. I'm in love with hybrids now though.

3:00 this morning the power went out, along with 217,000 of my fellow Michiganders. Great time for a heat wave amirite? Also, Our basement floods, so I have to run the generator to keep the sump pump running. I sent the wife and kids to the in laws. It痴 just me and the generator now. And the heat. I just replaced the carburetor a couple months ago, thank god. I ran to Walmart to take a poo poo and buy some batteries and bananas. Stopped at Jersey Giant on the way home and got an amazing sub (the boss, with all the toppings). I get back home to fire the generator back up and enjoy my sandwich and I pull up the hill to the garage and the suburban won稚 go into park. Fucker, I guess I知 putting it into neutral and using the parking break for now. THWACK as the parking break pedal slams to the floor and does absolutely nothing to stop the car from rolling back down the hill. Fucker, I guess I知 leaving it at the bottom of the hill for the night, hoping a tornado comes and picks it up and takes it away. At least this sandwich is really good guys, I highly recommend it.

everdave posted:Wow seriously did not know that! Lucky here if power does go out water keeps running and at least you can poop as much as you want. It痴 a rough one to learn the first time the power goes out when you池e on a well. As the others have said, there痴 enough water in the toilet tank for one flush per toilet. The smart thing to do here is to wire an electric panel to power things like your well, and get a large enough generator to power them, but that can get spendy. Luckily we have a pond out back. So I just carried 2 five gallon buckets of water up to the house from the pond and I can use that for manual toilet flushing. Yeehaw. #savethemanuals Modus Man fucked around with this message at 02:02 on Jul 21, 2019 |

The last place I lived at that was on well water I had both a composting toilet and a pit toilet, so it hardly mattered if the power went out because both were "dry."

So we figured out last night that who we thought was a good friend of ours is actually pretty loving judgemental, kinda funny how poo poo comes out when people are drunk. They drank way too much for me anyway so I'm fine with kicking them to the curb, but my wife is really hurt because she was more invested and took the brunt of it....What the gently caress is wrong with people? Also their kid and our kid are good friends, so it makes it even harder because of that. Applebees Appetizer fucked around with this message at 03:45 on Jul 21, 2019 |

Anyone have experience with a Lexus CT200H? I'm looking at commuter replacements for a 50mile round trip drive and I'm amazed that a 6yr old, 80K mile one is $12k. It's double the gas mileage of my Miata and fits all my basic needs.

No, but it痴 a more comfy Toyota. If you like it then it will be super reliable and decent mileage. Or you could buy a dirt cheap corolla.
