I have a question, Bird People. In trying to film Serra (solely for my own amusement) I've become a little intrigued by what randomly gets views, and what doesn't. (Serra getting all hissy currently leads that meagre 300ish view pack. However another accounts pirated video of me in a 2003 shittier then lovely Perry Como video got 30k views worth of heat almost solely from Russia...in 2008...for reasons?) Would the Bird Crazy thread be interested in having a Birb Video contest? I'd frankly be excited to see what everyone and their birds came up with.

What's your favorite way to post those video clips to the forum from mobile? I have a couple of this guy. He had an oatmeal breakfast with me and got an "oatee."

I adore them, but the store down the road from me that only specialises in parrots says they have an "extremely flighty" and "hard to predict" personality. Basically, if they had a rehome in there that took to me, I'd take it home that day. But I'm not playing the lottery with an IRN. They have three VIOLET IRN babies in the store right now! VIOLET! Whenever my parakeets move to the great bird beyond, I might add a quaker. I'd love a Caique, but their flock call sounds too drat close to my tinnitus. (Secretly I want a rose breasted doofus but big birds intimidate my father.)

I forgot, I have a picture of the violet baby IRNs! I take adding members to my household extremely seriously, putting my birds in my will and being well aware even medium lifespan birds could potentially outlast me. But boy oh boy, are these babies tempting.

she's almost a year old now (hatch day is August 18th) and her personality is really starting to develop lately! She's become a sassy little bean who knows what she wants and is very clear about when she wants it, I'm starting to learn her super favourite treats and snacks, and she's developing favourite toys too instead of just playing with everything like a hyper baby. It's real neat to see her develop preferences and to watch her get smarter and smarter every day, I love my spoiled little potato

Serra alltime favourite toy is a five dollar green Apple Watch velcro band I hung in her cage after. She spends most of her days trying to remove the little velcro pads, and in the last month has removed two. birbs.

Alternate evolution, so it could be something like Green Cheek Conure evolves into either: Severe (by leveling up) or Kakapo (By leveling up on an island) Since "alolan" forms are a thing (read: Hawaiian versions of the pokemon) I don't see why it couldn't just be a regional branch.

I’m very jealous. Currently having the exact opposite experience... My Pippu is just over a year old now (hatch day 27th of June) and has recently gotten territorial, bitey and yells a lot. I thought we had trained him out of all this behavior but I guess puberty has kicked in in full force... Really struggling to ignore his bites. Flying towards my with the Angry Beak also spooks me out. He also began refusing to step up in his cage (he prefers to bite), and usually makes a jump or run for the open door if we open it... I guess we’ll just have to start training from scratch and be patient Also, those baby ringnecks look adorable!!

I just got back into town after being gone since Friday. My sister came by to check on the birds and hang out to keep them company. I wasn't too worried. Sera likes her, anyway, and Ozzy will usually listen to verbal commands because being picked up is scary. Anyway, here I am, the birds are sleepy because it's late, but I keep getting cockatiel flock calls from under the blanket. Yes, still here. I promise.

lmao They get along pretty well! Being allowed to sit on the monitor simultaneously is a new step; even though I've had them both for a year+ now I am still very cautious about letting them interact, since Charlie's got a very large beak and Ama's too much of a pistol for his own good. They seem to have formed a bit of a bond though since moving into the new apartment, since they have nobody but each other for company while I'm at work during the day. For the most part they sort of live separate but parallel little lives while I'm home, wheedling for snacks (they both get one) and begging for baths (they both take one), sitting on my shoulders (one bird per, although Ama doesn't seem to always quite get that rule). Sometimes one of them decides he absolutely must crawl into his brother's cage, which always leads to me flying across the room to extract the intruder before the beak-tussling begins. They're like a little living yin and yang, existing with a comfortable sort of disinterest in one another (until not).
