JoeGlassJAw posted:Scenes like this are probably my favorite depictions of Spidey. Instead of people reacting "OH MY GOD it's a superhero!!!," the "friendly neighborhood" Spider-Man works so well when instead it's "hey Spider-Man walking down the wall of my building, want some popcorn?" Having random citizens' interactions with Spidey be less alien and more colloquial is really charming. 100% agreed! There’s a reason it is your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and not Friendly Neighborhood Thor.

Friendly Neighborhood Thor would also rule, he’d be the worst frat house down the road. Him as Bluto, Iron Man as Otter, Hulk as D Day, Spider-Man as Pinto. Surely somebody has beaten me to this terrible fanfic idea?

Cooked Auto posted:The closest I can think of is the pages showing off what Thor does on his days off. That's Thor: God of Thunder #12 by Jason Aaron, True Believer. It's an entire issue devoted to Aaron saying "For the Thunder God so loved the world..." and some snark asking "Why?" to which Aaron replies "Let me show you.". It's a fantastic issue and can be read individually out-of-context and has a half-dozen slam dunk story beats. As always, Read Thor: God of Thunder.

Thor is spider-man on a planetary scale pretty much. I really like his current characterization in War of the realms whered hed go to any length to save earth.

The real horror he never realized was all the diseases his ship now has from being fed the blood of people who hang around dockside bars.

EC Comics loved the ole vampire fake-out ending. Where someone is rumored to be a vampire but the main character investigates and discovers actually they aren't because of ____. Then it turns out the main character was actually a vampire the entire time.

I wouldn't expect him to be as comedic as modern Taskmaster takes, sadly. It's a Black Widow movie, she's not exactly going to provide a stage for a funny villain.

But... What If... she did? (Yes, I know What If is a few years later). Yackety Sax plays as she appears Droopy-Dog/Goro Majima style as everyone Tasky interacts with. Hide bombs, electrify doorknobs, rig chandeliers in a Spy vs. Spy pastiche - They're already the right colours! Natasha has to intercept the rare animal smugglers who have hired TM for protection, but the Russian Agent didn;t count on two particularly meddlesome beasts...
