There a version of the gerudo outfit you can upgrade, though it's not as cute as the first one imo

He plays for the dreamers that forgot how to dream, and the lovers that forgot how to love.
I've beaten the Blue Wing (Japanese branch of the SWP) story in Super World Police (PS2), and now I'm starting the Red Hawks, the US branch of the organisation. I like that the US missions and storyline are very different in tone to the Japan story, in the Japan story you were eased into crime fighting with some basic assignments as a rookie who eventually makes captain after his initial captain dies. In the Red Hawk story you play as hte captain as the sole member of the force just getting out of hospital after her entire force gets owned by a gang and she has to build up her department from nothing. Also she is less by-the-book than the Japanese Main character, running off half-cocked to get revenge on the gang that nearly killed her. The US story also gets different vehicles which is cool.

I've bumped it down to easy though as the difficulty curve gets unfair at the end.

I think it's less liking the outfit and more discounting an entire mechanic because you can't make Linkles armor better

No, I ignored an entire mechanic because I couldn't make that armor better. It's very different.

I might've upgraded other armor later, I don't remember. I do know I was using the Gerudo male armor for a while (which is a poor substitute and we all know that). Breath of the Wild kinda just blends into itself in a formless mass in my mind, which is my main issue with it, albeit a hard one to describe.

I started playing BOTW like 3 days ago because a friend lent it to me.

I found it pretty amusing how you can snipe skeleton baddies heads right off their bodies and they can keep on walking around. :allears:

This is the problem I run into when I try to pick it back up. My kids and I have been playing it off an on, and I've been more off because I'll turn it on, look around and say "Where am I? The gently caress was I doing? Have I already done that? Have I already been here?" The game is very big and if you're not sticking with it, it becomes daunting to come back to.

There's an option in the map now to show exactly where you've been as a trail.

I was the same until I realised I had to use the map as if Link was using the map, so I started marking places I'd been with the stickers.

You can also look to see if you've got any korok seeds around there because Hyrule is lousy with Koroks

The best part of BOTW is the motorbike. The worst part of BOTW is that the motorbike is DLC exclusive and it takes a lot of work to get it. And the motorbike can't ramp off too many things either (the game already chugs trying to keep up with the motorbike's speed, so it's understandable that it can't be that fast, but still).

As much as I liked the motorbike, I was just happy getting the saddle that teleported your horse to you. Granted, that's DLC too, but poo poo it was just useful.

Did not like the Korok mask that shook whenever a korok was nearby. Not because it wasn't useful, but because it was too drat useful. I never wanted to take it off. Should've just been something that stayed active on you, like a little thing hanging off Link's belt.

The DLC pass (the only thing you can buy for BotW AFAIK) adds it. You have to find it out in the world though.

On the one hand I want to buy the dlc because it solves a lot of the problems I had with Zelda.

On the other I don't want to pay $20 for quality of life things that should have been in the game from day 1

Carrying on with the theme of the extremely little things, I booted up West of Loathing for the first time and I know most of what to expect regarding the writing, humor and all that, but it's impressive how fluid the animation is. You might say, "yea, its goddamn stick people" but it stands out really nice, especially considering the Walking Stupid option you unlock at the tutorial where the MC flips being moving around in the silliest ways and how crispy it looks.

You get support gambits in Three Houses, and its great when you use them. You see the battalion start fist pumping and saying "Yeah, you got it! You can do it!" And through the sheer power of friendship can you suddenly move halfway across the map.

It's also kind of funny how some of the characters are painfully, breathtakingly shy and insecure, at least one of whom has out-and-out Social Anxiety Disorder and agoraphobia, and then you force them to lead this literal army of cheerleaders. Bernadette's life is just one big panic attack any time she's in the field.

One actual not extremely little thing: For all the talk I've heard of this game, I can't ever recall someone mentioned its strangely robust RPG system. You have your main stats, abilities, and perks, added to new ones that you acquire during the course of the playthrough and they often play a role during dialogues to offer another branch of direction that isn't shooting everything(shooting is still cool). It feels like a Fallout in that regard, although not that intricate.

In Dead by Daylight, the characters on the setup screen all have idle animations. Survivors generally look around warily, and Killers tend to act intimidating or impatient by hitting the ground or snarling.

Except for Michael Myers, who just stares. Unmoving. Forever.

I appreciated in the second game how they rapidly sped up the even slower environmental suit walk. like they didn't even attempt to justify it, you suddenly move crazy fast for no reason.

I remember doing the underwater walk in the first game and that was paaaaainful.

It actually did serve a purpose, just one you'd basically never use on a PC when you could immediately just click something - it cancelled whatever your current combat action was.
